[ベトナム社会主義共和国 東北部バックカン Bac Kan 省の] 鳥インフルエンザ influenza A (H5N1) はヒトからヒトへ感染しなかったと確認された (2010年4月14日開催の a meeting of the National Steering Committee for pandemic influenza control and prevention 全国パンデミックインフルエンザ対策予防運営委員会会議にて、Deputy Director of the National Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology 国立衛生疫学研究所 副所長 Tran Nhu Duong 医師報告)。
同研究所の調査により、患者 2人 (Na Tao village, Nhu Co commune, Cho Moi District, Bac Kan province)はヒトからヒトの伝染ではなかった。約 100メートル離れた所で生活し、お互いに直接接触することは決してなかった。これら患者に接触した 計 33人 (親類、訪問者、隣人、看護師、医師)は 16日間監視された。発症はなく、全対象者の検査は陰性であった。
