Epidemiological comments [下記 OIE報告の疫学的コメント文章一部を引用]
On 2 December 2010, the institute [, the National Institute of Animal Health 国立動物衛生研究所(茨城県つくば市),] confirmed the cases as highly pathogenic avian influenza because the isolate caused 75 % mortality in 4-week-old chickens infected intravenously, and the amino acid sequence of the connecting peptide of the haemagglutinin was the same as that observed for the highly pathogenic avian influenza viruses isolated from faeces of wild ducks in Hokkaido in October 2008 [ブログ投稿者注: OIE報告時の西暦ミスではないか? 2010年10月 北海道稚内市街から東 6kmの Lake Onuma 大沼で野生のカモの糞から鳥インフルエンザ H5N1 ウイルス検出] .
